Solus Guest House Welcome
Solus is a Gaelic word meaning light/knowledge.
More spa than sparse
For peaceful bed and breakfast accommodation for a holiday exploring the Scottish Borders; to escape your busy life for a while; or a place to relax after a busy day doing business in the area, our home is a modern house with lots of lovely welcoming daylight. The lounge and dining room look over our secluded half acre garden and ponds, with the community woodland beyond.
Our tranquil lounge is a great space for conversation; to join in a meditation or to just sit reading or contemplating your next day's activities. The dining area, where our quality breakfast is served, is open plan to the lounge and hallway, with a door out to a covered deck and the garden beyond.

When you choose to stay with us you're joining an exclusive club, perhaps a club of the most relaxed people in the world, if their comments about our comfy beds are anything to go by. With only two rooms, it's very private and peaceful here, a hideaway, if you will, yet with transport links close-by. And if you're a family or group of up to 5 people reserving both rooms, you'll have our exclusive attention. and we can create a bespoke package of meals andservices to suit your requirements. Please contact us to discuss your preferences.
As well as your comfort, taking care of the environment is really important to us. The house has underfloor heating, which is especially beneficial in winter when we all want to feel lovely and cosy. Our air source heat pump provides heating and, along with solar thermal panels, hot water. Solar photo voltaic panels provide electricity.
It is our aim that your stay with us will be an peaceful, wholistic, and empowering experience.
