"Come to the edge," he said. "We can't, we're afraid!" they responded.
"Come to the edge," he said. "We can't, we will fall!" they responded.
"Come to the edge," he said.
And so they came. And he pushed them.
And they flew.”
Ghandi said, "You must be the change you want to see in the world," and we’ve been practicing that advice since we first heard it, but probably more intently since my ordination as a Minister of Spiritual Peacemaking in 2007. We’ve been doing our best to demonstrate peace, happiness, abundance, and love, not only in the normal, everyday doing-ness of our lives, but more consciously through weekly groups and individual sessions to empower people to discover the things that make their hearts sing.
Logue’s words inspired the name of our company (The Edge Scotland Ltd), and we hope that those who come to The Edge, when it is built, will feel inspired to take the free will step that leads to their flight into a more fulfilling, exciting life and the achievement of their dreams. Solus Spiritual Bed and Breakfast will be the vehicle for this on a smaller scale in the meantime.
Solus* Spiritual Guest House is a stepping stone to the creation of a larger spiritual centre in a place of peace and tranquillity, in a beautiful location. The centre will be energy efficient, and will be off-grid or at least will produce as much of its own energy as possible. Guests will stay in various types of comfortable accommodation and will find nourishing food on the menu, as much as possible having been organically and biodynamically grown in the centre’s own gardens. Guests will be able to recharge their spiritual batteries, taking part in the spiritual activities facilitated by the owners and guest speakers, then returning to their normal daily routines with more energy and a more positive outlook on life. The centre’s employees will have year-round employment in a pleasant environment, conducive to team building and personal development. Employees’ ideas and suggestions for the smooth running of the centre are important to the overall atmosphere, and will be respected, encouraged, and developed. Profits from the venture will be re-invested in the development of the centre, and the local community will benefit from grants to assist its young people to achieve their goals and ambitions, as well as for community projects.
*solus - Gaelic, meaning: light/knowledge
The sooner we begin our larger venture the better, and to that end we are deeply grateful to those who have already supported us by donation or other means, and anyone who wishes to express their abundance by making a contribution to fund the venture. If you know of anyone who would be interested in helping in a financial way, please ask them to contact us. If you know of, or discover a potential location, such as a run down estate with plenty of land on which to build a large and beautiful main building, with the potential for other buildings in the grounds, we would be glad to hear of them as well.
