Nourishment

The Scottish Borders is farming country, and as a result we have a lot of gorgeous produce almost on the doorstep.  Actually we have some on the doorstep too because we grow our own fruit and vegetables as biodynamically and organically as both practicalities and the Scottish climate allow.  Your breakfast will seasonally include some of our homegrown tomatoes and herbs, as well as Simon's lovingly tended berries and currants, which also go to make his homemade 'Simply Fruit' jams.  Our excellent local butcher in Melrose (3 miles away) sources meat from the most local producers, often from within a short radius of Melrose.

We can provide an evening meal if requested the previous day and, when the weather co-operates, you can take meals outside on our sun deck, if you wish.  If you're interested in our bespoke workshops for small groups, we can create a package to suit your requirements.

"Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast."  ~  From 'Alice in Wonderland' by Lewis Carroll

For breakfast you can choose from a range of fruit juices, cereals, yoghurt, toast and spreads, and fresh fruit.  Porridge is available to order.  Our cooked breakfasts are full Scottish; smoked salmon with scrambled eggs; vegetarian; or vegan.  Healthy options are always provided.
